Your Amazon account is yours, and your ability to review on it is worth protecting. The good news: everything that keeps it safe is exactly what makes you a great club member anyway — reading for real and saying what you honestly think.

🚦 Why this matters

Amazon uses automated systems to spot review activity that doesn’t look like a real reader. Those systems are imperfect — they sometimes remove perfectly genuine reviews, and in rarer cases they can restrict an account’s ability to review at all. You can’t control the robot, but you can make sure your activity looks like what it is: one person, actually reading books, sharing honest opinions at a human pace.

📖 The golden rules

Actually read the book

That’s the whole point of the club — and it’s also your best protection. A pile of reviews appearing faster than anyone could read the books is the single biggest red flag there is. Your due dates are set with real reading time in mind, so take it.

Say the book was free

You received your copy free, so Amazon asks you to mention it — something as simple as “I received a free copy of this book.”Amazon welcomes free-copy reviews when they’re disclosed; it only removes the ones that hide it. Our review step reminds you before you post.

Pace yourself

Never post a stack of reviews in one sitting. If you’ve finished more than one book, spread the reviews across a couple of days — slow and steady genuinely wins here. The three-book shelf limit exists partly to make this easy.

Stay in your own store

Post reviews on your regional Amazon (the store you actually shop in). Reviews scattered across marketplaces you’ve never bought from look odd to Amazon’s systems. CoReader asks for your region once and always sends you to the right store.

Your words, not a robot's

Amazon actively detects and removes AI-written reviews — and can restrict accounts that post them. Ours does too: we only accept reviews written in your own voice. Vary how you open your reviews and never reuse the same sentences from one book to the next.

Honest stars, always

Never trade ratings or promise stars — that breaks Amazon’s rules and helps nobody. On CoReader, nothing depends on how many stars you give: a critical review counts exactly the same as a glowing one, and honest reviews are always welcome here.

🕕 A heads-up about Verified Purchase

If you bought the book yourself (a Verified Purchase read), Amazon can be wary of reviews posted minutes after a purchase. Give it at least 6 hours between buying and posting — overnight is even better.

Kindle Unlimited reads

Amazon doesn’t mark Kindle Unlimited reads as Verified Purchase. That’s normal, not a problem with your review — it still counts, on Amazon and here.
